    Area 3: Select one course from the arts, one from humanities, and one from either the arts or humanities. Special note: Take a course in humanities that meets the Ethnic studies requirement i.e. Engl P112 or P120.

    Area 4: select three courses, but two courses from a least two disciplines.  

    Language other than English (UC Requirement only): equivalent two years in high school or one semester of college study in the same language.
