Welcome to online registration known as BannerWeb. Learning how to navigate the PC web page will help you for the following reasons:

• Students aren’t able to do walk up registration until one week before classes begin.
• Telephone Registration will be discontinued starting with Summer and Fall 2005 registration.
• Students can register online every term once an update form has been completed, and it only takes five minutes to enroll in college courses.
• Priority registration is given to students who are fully matriculated (completed assessment, orientation, advising, and an educational study plan) and students are able to review their registration date each term online.
• Students can go online to learn if they have any registration holds. For example, students on academic and progress probation are not able to register until they meet with their academic counselor or faculty advisor.
• Students have access online to their unofficial academic transcript, which lists all courses taken and grades earned.
• Students have access to College Class Schedules Search, which allows you to know what courses are offered, how many seats are still available, and whether the class is closed.

After clicking Register Online for Classes, you need to know the following information:

• Your User ID# is your social security number.
• Your PIN# is your birth date. Once you input your username and pin #, you will be asked to changed your PIN#. It must be six digits and cannot be your date of birth. If you currently have an ATM card and your pin# is four digits, just add to two zeros at the beginning or at the end.
• “Forgot my PIN#?” feature: you need to create a question with an answer that allows you to gain access if you forget your pin number. You must input a question that you definitely know the answer to. For example, “What is my mother’s first name?”
• If you haven’t completed an admissions/update form for the semester you are enrolling in, it will link you to that menu.
• If you have a completed update form—
  • Go to Kern Community College Bannerweb page
  • Click Login to Secure Area
  • Input your User ID# and Pin# and Click Submit
  • Takes you to the Main Menu
  • Then Click on Student and Financial Aid
  • Then Click on Registration
  • Then Click on Add/Drop Classes
  • Select a Term- for example, Spring 2005, then press the Submit button
  • Then scroll to “Add” Box, place your CRN# (course reference number) starting with the first box numbered 1 and so on...
  • Click on Submit Change to complete your registration
  Please note: If the class is closed you can place yourself on the waiting list but must secure it with clicking on to the box that places you on the waiting list.

  Also, on the bottom of that page you can click on any of the functions below to:

  • Look-Up Classes to Add
  • View Schedule by Day & Time
  • View Detail Schedule
  • View your Schedule/Bill
