Note: Upon admissions, pediatric * obstetrical nursing assessment tests will be administered to students and used for advising purposes and to determine competencies.
Advanced Medical-Surgical * Perinatal Nursing (12 units)
Nursing 113 and Nursing 114
Three 5-week rotation in: Perinatal (OB, Nursery, NICU) Cardiovascular-Respiratory (ICU), and Neurological Nursing. LVNs may test out of Perinatal (OB) clinicals.
Fourth semester
Advanced Skills in Nursing Practice (13 units)
Nursing 116, 117, 118 and 119
Three 5-week rotations in: Psychiatric (in-patient & out-patient), Chronic Conditions & Community (renal dialysis, health promotion) and Leadership (with preceptor), LVNs may test out of Pediatric clinicals, usually taken in this semester.
